Wow someone needs to take a trip to Chicago and learn how to make an Italian beef sub, red sauce what? Forgot the basil in our mozzarella sub. Also forgot the salami in another sub and five subs and three sides for $85. The bread was probably the worst bread for a sub I’ve ever had. All the hype but a real disappointment.

Very tasty sandwich. They have really good service. Had chicken fontina. I would definitely come back here for the taste.

If you hear someone bring up Laspada in conversation, they don’t know anything about food. For example Laspada is a gimmick: they put a second layer of meat after your topping so it’s a big sandwich, which can be appreciated but it’s not “the best”. At V&S you have most of the same guys making subs for over a decade. And it’s the attention to detail: soft bread, hard bread, seeded bread and non-seeded. You don’t have just automatically all boar’s head. Some of the meats and cheeses are different brands. Hot peppers, everything has a different level of detail compared to your previously favorite sub place.

This is the real deal if you like Italian Hero Subs. They also have take away meals, salads, soup, and deserts. I had the Chicken Fontina with lightly coated fried chicken cutlets not greasy at all, and the cheese was lightly placed on providing my taste buds with an amazing flavor. My brother in-law had Chicken Cutlet Florentine equally good. These were both hot subs. My sister had a cold Roast Beef sub. All three were plentiful and delicious we savored each bite! If I lived near this place I would definitely eat here once or twice a week...yes it was that good! The only downside is only having three small tables outside. So best to plan ahead for take away orders.

I was on a quest for the perfect sandwich. Not just any sandwich, but one that could transcend the ordinary and catapult me into a world of culinary delight. Little did I know, this journey would lead me to V&S Italian Deli, a local hotspot for true sandwich aficionados.

The adventure began when a local resident, clearly a sandwich sage, insisted that V&S was the place to go. We called ahead, and with a promise of just three people in line, we made a beeline for the deli. However, by the time we arrived, it seemed the entire town had the same idea – there were now 25 people in line and a 30-minute wait. My excitement mingled with curiosity: Could any sandwich be worth this?

As it turns out, the wait itself was an experience. The line was populated with the most interesting mix of people. It was a delightful prelude to what awaited us inside.

And then, there was the bread. Seeded, crusty perfection that could have made a plain slice of cheese sing. But V&S doesn’t stop at the bread. Their ingredients are fresh, varied, and practically beg you to create a masterpiece. The condiment and cheese options? More extensive than a Vegas buffet at the Wynn.

When my vegetarian sandwich finally emerged, it was an epiphany. This wasn’t just a sandwich; it was a Michelin star experience tucked between two halves of heaven. Every bite was a revelation of flavor and texture, an homage to what a sandwich could and should be.

The next day, I shared my discovery with another local who had somehow never heard of V&S. Less than 24 hours later, I received a jubilant text: “You were right!!! It’s delicioso ?” accompanied by a photo, all now devoted converts to the V&S way.

In the end, waiting in line at V&S Italian Deli wasn't just about getting a sandwich. It was about joining a community, embarking on a culinary adventure, and discovering a new standard of sandwich excellence.

Next time you find yourself in line at V&S, just remember: Great things come to those who wait… and wait… and wait. Trust me, it is worth every minute.

Absolutely great guys in here making some of the best sandwiches of Florida. The porchetta and broccoli rabe on the sesame stick is PHENOMENAL (9.5/10). The Meatball was so good and tender (not dense but perfectly held together) and the sauce wasn't overly acidic. Absolute classic 9/10.
The Italian ? once again, TOP NOTCH. 10/10

I’ve been with you guys for three years now unbelievable Food enjoy it to no end. I tried to send a private message to the Deli and none of the apps will allow me to send a message that you guys can view. I’m sure it’s one time in 1 million my wife loves your Italians and I love your V & S asiago.
Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed to Fridays ago. My wife got an amazing Italian and please see the attached pictures. This is what I received by the time I got home. I was just really disappointed did not have time to come back stopping by The store and getting a quick dinner.

I’m just used to getting a decent sandwich if you didn’t have enough product just say so. I would’ve picked something else. No peppers no onions on it.
